“I have seen a great many people fall in love with this idea.
I have seen the enthusiasm for the idea.
But the idea is very bad for the world and very bad news for us.”
— John Stuart Mill, 1872 (author of Ninety-Four Articles) “The greatest enemy of the human race is its own ignorance.
The greatest enemy is its ignorance.”
— Carl Sagan, 1976 (founder of the Sagan Institute) The first thing you need to do to stop the barbarians of capitalism is to realize the truth: Capitalism is bad for us, because it forces people to make bad decisions.
The best way to stop them is to stop making bad decisions themselves.
You have to stop having them.
So stop thinking you can just be some kind of smart guy and make your own decisions.
I want you to look at your life and think, I’m responsible for making these decisions.
That is it.
We are not making decisions.
We’re making decisions based on the results of other people’s decisions.
When you make decisions based solely on the consequences of your decisions, you are a failure.
When people get into a situation where they have a choice to make, they don’t do it.
They don’t ask themselves, well, what am I going to do?
They ask themselves: What am I not going to try?
If they are not going be able to think about the outcome of their choices, then they’re not going do it, because they will never be able.
And the people that they think are the experts, and they’re going to take their decisions and be smart, they’re just not smart enough.
And they’re really dumb.
So let me tell you, if you are the leader of a business and you have a team that has done a really well job, and you’re making a lot of money and you want to go into business, that’s not the time for that.
And you should be telling your employees: I’m not going in that business.
You should be looking at what your customers want and what they need.
And if you don’t have that, you should have that in mind when you make your decision.
Because the only thing that you can really do is go and make a decision based on your own judgment.
And that’s it — that’s the only way you can make good decisions.
And when you’re smart, you don.
And so that’s how you stop the Barbaroids of Capitalism.
And let’s face it: if you’re the leader in a business, you have to have a plan and a strategy, because the only reason why you’re able to do what you do is because you’re thinking ahead.
And people don’t think ahead.
They think about what they’re about to do, and then they make their decisions based upon that.
So the question becomes: How do you stop these people?
You can’t do anything to stop it.
You can do nothing, except to stop doing business with them.
That means you have got to stop giving them money.
So if you want the business to succeed, you can’t just buy it and let it go.
You’ve got to make it your business.
And I’ve always been of the opinion that if you start giving them the money, they’ll buy it back and you won’t be able, because that will never happen.
And it’s just a matter of time.
And now we know the reason why.
We’ve already seen what happens when you give money to someone and don’t give it back.
So you know, you’ve got the business going.
You’re doing a great job, you’re doing something good for your customers, and yet there’s just no money to give.
And all you can do is make decisions about what your people are going to be doing.
You know, what’s the best thing to do for them?
So how do you make a better decision?
Well, first of all, you look at what the customers want.
The only thing you can say, you know — this is what they want, this is the best way they want it.
And then you look around your business and see what people want.
And there’s one thing you’ve gotta do.
The next thing you do, you take away the money from your people.
You say, “You can’t get money from me.”
And they say, OK, we understand.
It’s because you haven’t been giving them what they really want.
They’ve not been giving you the products they really need.
They haven’t made the decisions they really needed to make.
And this is why you have so many people in your business that have no business at all, and I know you want them to go to work.
You want them doing their job.
You believe in them.
You give them the opportunity to make their own decisions and make the decisions that they need to make in order to make a living
